Fire Explorers

The Montebello Fire Explorers program (Post #29) is designed for motivated and mature young men and women who are interested in gaining experience in the fire service. The program also prepares them to become responsible and caring adults.

Explorers participate in weekly meetings that focus on:

  • Team building
  • Positive learning environment
  • Leadership and problem solving skills
  • Community service
  • Hands on experience

A participant must be at least fourteen years of age and be enrolled in high school. Participants up to twenty years of age can also enroll in the program.

The success of the Explorer program is due to the combined efforts with the City of Montebello, Montebello Fire Department, and Learning for Life.
