|The Auxiliary Firefighter offers an excellent opportunity to learn and experience the position of a full-time firefighter while still offering flexible hours. The Auxiliary Firefighter is required to work a minimum of one 24 hour shift per week.

|EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:|
|Under general supervision, performs a variety of firefighter duties; performs fire prevention, fire suppression, hazardous material incident response, emergency rescue, and medical assistance duties to protect life and property; and performs related duties as assigned.
Under general supervision, the Auxiliary Firefighter responds to fire alarms and other related requests for emergency assistance; participates in fire prevention inspections, training activities, public relations program, station, and equipment maintenance; performs other related work as required.
Graduation from an accredited Fire Academy.
